The house behind the name
Resort For You Casino is a family-run venue in Brisbane's West End — built by people who genuinely like people. Here's how we got here and who you'll meet on the floor.
From one bar to a whole address
It started with a corner pub and a stubborn idea: hospitality works better face-to-face. A decade later that pub grew into a hotel, a brasserie, an event hall and a licensed gaming floor — all on the same block.

The corner bar opens
A twelve-stool bar and a kitchen the size of a closet. The regulars came anyway.
The brasserie is born
We knocked through the wall, hired a real chef, and started plating food people photographed.
Licensed gaming floor
Nine tables and a machine hall — deliberately small, deliberately well-run.
The hotel goes up
84 rooms across five floors, including the penthouse everyone now fights over.
One address, one team
Hotel, floor, kitchen and hall — run by 60-odd locals who mostly started as regulars.
What we actually believe
Three rules, pinned to the back-office wall since 2014. They're not marketing copy — they're how shifts get run.
"If a regular wouldn't sign off on it, we don't do it."
— House rule zero, written in markerHospitality is a contact sport
Websites take bookings; people make evenings. Everything we sell happens in person because that's where it works.
Small floor, high standards
We'd rather run nine excellent tables than thirty mediocre ones. Same goes for the menu, the rooms, the bar list.
The house always answers
A named person picks up the phone at 3am, reads your email, and signs your event quote. No bots, no queues.
A few numbers we're proud of
Boutique Venue of the Year finalist, three years running
Queensland gaming licence with a spotless audit record
80% of our suppliers are within 50km of the venue
Things we've built lately
A venue like this never sits still — here's what the team has been up to.
2025The Corner Bar rebuild
Full refit of the original 2014 room — reclaimed timber, a longer pour rail, and a whisky shelf that finally gets its own lighting.
2024Rooftop kitchen garden
Herbs, citrus and two beehives above the penthouse — the kitchen uses all of it, the honey sells out at the desk.
OngoingCharity cards nights
Quarterly fun-money tournaments in the hall — $68k raised for local causes so far.
2026Hall AV overhaul
New projection, line-array sound and programmable lighting — the hall now handles ticketed shows as comfortably as conferences.
The faces you'll actually meet
No stock-photo boardroom — these are the people running the floor, the kitchen and the desk.

The story reads better in person
